Staying Connected

Snowbird has excellent cell and blackberry reception, though these devices will need to be off during all Summit sessions. There is a business center with computers for those who may need to check e-mail or do other computer work with modest business center charges. Courtesy computers are available to print airline boarding passes. Snowbird has wireless computer access but rooms do not have high speed internet service.

Appropriate Attire for Summit

For the daily sessions for the NPS Superintendents Summit 2008 and evening events, participants are encouraged to wear business casual. As the evening events are held outside the conference center building, a jacket or fleece are recommended.

For the last evening's Barbecue, participants are encouraged to be "jeans casual". A jacket or fleece are recommended.

Uniforms are not necessary for the photographs on July 16.

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction will begin on Wednesday, July 16 and conclude Thursday, July 17 at 1:30 pm. All proceeds will go to Employee Disaster Assistance Fund, maintained by E&AA through Eastern National, and will support employees and their families experiencing trauma from natural disasters. Checks should be made payable to E&AA – Disaster Relief Fund.

Weather

Weather at Snowbird can be a little cool, especially in the evening. It is recommended that you bring a jacket or fleece for use during outdoor events.

Session sign-up

Breakout sessions are planned for Wednesday afternoon, July 16. When registering for the conference, you will be asked to choose breakout sessions.
